Financial Aid

To apply for Federal student aid, complete the following steps;

Create an FSA ID with a username and password.  

The FSA ID confirms your identity when accessing your financial aid information and electronically signing your federal student aid documents, such as the FAFSA.  

If you are a dependent student, your parent must also have created an FSA ID.  You will continue to use the same FSA ID as your gateway to file subsequent FAFSA and to access certain US Department of Education websites.  

You will be prompted to create an FSA ID if you already have an FSA PIN.  This FSA ID (username and password) will now replace the PIN.

Your second step is to complete your student financial aid form online. Americare's school code is 04244600 .

After completing your FAFSA, you will receive your Student Aid Estimate via email within 3 - 5 days.

Your final step is to meet with our financial advisor to complete and accept your awards and to tell us which loans you want to use. You can finalize your loans by completing the following;

Entrance Counseling

Step 1 - Log Into studentaid.gov using your FSA ID

Step 2 - Click on "Complete Aid Process" 

Step 3 - Select "Complete Entrance Counseling"

Step 4 - Click "Start" 

Step 5 - Complete entrance counceling

 Master Promissory Note

Step 1 - Log Into studentaid.gov using your FSA ID

Step 2 - Click on "Complete Aid Process" 

Step 3 - Select "Complete Master Promissory Note"

Step 4 - Click "Start" next to MPN for subsidized/unsubsidized loans

Step 5 - Sign MPN with your name
